A completed project product

Volunteer-project report — illustrative completed product: Our proposed Saturday Reading Support project serves younger pupils at the neighbourhood library. Two volunteers sort suitable books while the librarian supervises reading. Sessions are 9–11 a.m.; preparation begins at 8:30. The budget uses borrowed books and existing furniture rather than collecting money from children. A confidential attendance sheet measures participation, and anonymous comments help improve the service. Risks include unsuitable books, blocked walkways and disclosure of personal data. The librarian checks books and access, and no child’s name appears on the public poster. Real implementation must replace this proposal with dated evidence, not present it as an observed result.

Produce evidence ethically

Keep the product’s title, audience, method and practical limits visible. If collecting real responses, obtain consent, avoid private identifiers and report only actual data. Label planning figures and illustrative examples. Rehearse a short presentation with source credits and a genuine question period.

Volunteering can build patience and teamwork when the work meets a genuine need. At a reading club, a volunteer learns to adapt an explanation to the reader rather than repeat it more loudly. However, goodwill does not replace training or safeguarding. A supervised, regular commitment is more useful than promising many hours and then disappearing.

A RE-cord /ˈrekərd/; to re-CORD /rɪˈkɔrd/. A PRE-sent /ˈprezənt/; to pre-SENT /prɪˈzent/. Read: We record each present in a notebook. These noun–verb pairs change stress; not every two-syllable word follows this pattern.
Grammar
Past continuous (was/were + -ing) sets an action in progress; past simple reports a completed event: While we were packing, the organiser called. When does not automatically require one tense: meaning decides. An -ed adjective describes a feeling (interested), while -ing describes its cause (interesting). Useful is helpful; useless is not effective, not morally worthless.
