Genre: a sourced biography synthesised from notes
Walt Disney was an American film producer whose work helped expand animation and family entertainment. He was born in Chicago on 5 December 1901 and became interested in drawing as a child. In 1923, he moved to Hollywood and developed a production business with his brother Roy. Mickey Mouse appeared in 1928, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs premiered in 1937. Disney later extended his work beyond cinema: Disneyland opened in 1955. He died on 15 December 1966, before Walt Disney World opened in 1971. His career is often associated with imagination and persistence, but it also depended on many artists and technicians. A balanced biography should recognise both his leadership and that collaboration. Source: https://d23.com/about-walt-disney/.
