Original reading passage
Our science club compared two uses of technology. Biometrics uses features such as fingerprints to help check a person’s identity. A fingerprint scanner can be convenient, but a school must protect the information it collects and provide a responsible way to handle mistakes. Nanolearning organises learning into very short units. For example, one short activity may practise one verb form. This can help a learner review a small point, but a few minutes cannot replace every kind of deep discussion or extended writing. At the exhibition, students showed a paper diagram of a scanner and a set of short learning tasks. Their teacher asked them to explain both benefits and limits rather than promise that one new tool could solve every problem.
