Before Tet, Minh’s family cleans the house together. His father checks the lights, his mother prepares food, and Minh wipes the bookshelves. They decorate the living room with flowers. On the last evening of the old year, the family shares dinner and talks about good memories. Minh’s grandmother tells him that lucky money is a wish for good things, not a competition between children. During the holiday, Minh visits relatives and says polite wishes. He also keeps some time for reading. Different families celebrate in different ways, but care and respect are important in every home.
