Genre: a proposal for a welcome event
Proposal: Welcome Afternoon for Our Partner School
We propose a two-hour event in the library next Tuesday to help visitors and host students learn about one another. After a short welcome, mixed groups will discuss a school-day question and create a joint display. Students may choose a quiet reading discussion instead of the music activity. The language club will prepare clear signs, and a teacher will check access and supervision. We will use existing materials and simple handwritten cards rather than expensive gifts. Before the visit, hosts will practise asking open questions without assuming that one student represents a whole country. At the end, guests can give anonymous feedback. The event will be successful if both groups can contribute and leave with a better understanding of each other.
