Write 60–80 words about how your family is saving energy at home. Give current actions and reasons without inventing measured savings.
Plan who/what/where/when and a useful detail. Use the unit language: Present continuous: am/is/are + verb-ing for actions happening now or temporary activity around now. Negatives put not after be; questions put be before the subject. “The students are checking the lights now.” Compare a routine “They check the lights every day” with a current action. Spell write→writing, run→running. A stative verb such as know is normally not continuous in this meaning.
Original model: My family is trying to use energy more carefully at home. We are opening the curtains when daylight is enough for reading. We are switching off lights in empty rooms and asking whether fans are still needed. My father is checking which appliances we use most often. We are not touching electrical wiring or switching off essential equipment. These are practical habits, but we have not yet measured how much electricity they save.
