A new conversation
Mai: What are you preparing for our class discussion about life in the countryside?
Nam: I have a short report. Here is my main idea.
My grandparents’ village is changing. People now use small machines during the harvest, so they finish some tasks faster than before. Children can borrow books from a new library. I like the quiet lanes and the friendly neighbours. However, there are fewer buses than in my city, and some journeys take longer. Rural life is not always easy, but it offers space and strong community ties. Visitors should ask permission before entering a field and should never leave rubbish behind.
Mai: Can you give a reason for your opinion?
Nam: Yes. We should consider both benefits and difficulties.
