Write a 60–80-word review of an age-appropriate film. Include type, a brief non-spoiler plot, an opinion and contrast.
Plan who/what/where/when and a useful detail. Use the unit language: Although/though introduce a clause showing contrast: “Although the film was long, I enjoyed it.” Do not add but to the same pair of clauses. However links contrasting sentences: “The film was long. However, I enjoyed it.” A comma alone is not enough to join two full clauses with however. Distinguish an emotion from a cause: a boring film makes a viewer bored; a moving scene makes a viewer moved.
Original model: I watched River Helpers, an imaginary family film about children saving a village library. The story follows a girl who learns to ask others for help. Although some scenes are slow, the ending is warm and believable. I liked the music because it supported the quiet moments. I would recommend it to friends who enjoy stories about teamwork. I will not reveal the final surprise.
